For Jason Gaines, music is more than performance—it is a form of storytelling. Rooted in jazz and shaped by a lifelong connection to music, his artistic voice draws from the emotional honesty of classic jazz while embracing soul, R&B, pop, rock, and alternative influences. Through Elliot Paul Music, Jason is creating a space where timeless music, personal storytelling, and new creative expression can meet.
The After Hours EP introduces this vision through three timeless songs: “Willow Weep for Me,” “They Say,” and “Guess Who I Saw Today.” It represents the beginning of a larger creative journey for Elliot Paul Music—one that will encompass recorded music, live performance, storytelling, merchandise, and community.
Elliot Paul Music draws inspiration from the intimacy of classic jazz clubs, the emotional storytelling of great vocalists, and the rich musical traditions of jazz, soul, R&B, pop, rock, and alternative music. The vision is not to recreate another era, but to carry its atmosphere, elegance, and emotional honesty into something new.

“Out of the Fire, Into the Song” is Jason Gaines’ deeply personal memoir of identity, faith, survival, transformation, and the extraordinary role music can play in rebuilding a life.
Raised within a highly structured religious world, Jason learned early what was expected of him and who he was supposed to become. But as the life he had been taught to live came into conflict with the person he was discovering himself to be, he eventually made the difficult decision to walk away and begin searching for a life of his own.
What followed was not an easy road. Through loss, addiction, homelessness, recovery, and rebuilding, music remained a thread connecting Jason to the person he had once been—and the person he was still becoming.
“Out of the Fire, Into the Song” is ultimately a story of reclamation: of finding your voice after losing nearly everything, discovering freedom on the other side of fear, and learning that sometimes the very thing that helps us survive can also become the thing that gives our lives new meaning.

Born in Meridian, Mississippi, The Dynamic Miss Faye Carol found an important part of her musical path in California, where school choirs, church groups, and mentorship expanded a foundation rooted in Black music.
Across a career spanning more than six decades, she has built a distinctive voice across blues, jazz, R&B, gospel, funk, and other traditions while remaining deeply connected to the Bay Area music community.
Her contribution reaches beyond the stage. As an educator and founder of School of The Getdown, Faye Carol has helped pass Black musical traditions to younger generations through performance, mentorship, workshops, and community education.
